Well, Saturday was the last day in the condo. We had to be out early, so Debbie and Bob took a final walk on the beach, and bumped into a turtle patrol person. We talked about our experience and she told us that she found a new nest in our section and a false crawl. We got to check them out.
We left Bradenton Beach and headed to the east coast. We ended up in St. Augustine and ate lunch at a restaurant called the Santa Maria, we split a couple of meals and the girls fed fish before we ate (right from our table through a portal).
Then we headed up the coast and the Atlantic looked just as blue green as the gulf had. We cross a couple of high bridges, but they were all multiple lane. (whew). We ended up the night in Savannah, Georgia were we ate a Sticky Fingers... because Maria loved their fries when we went to the Schatzes wedding in Hilton Head. We went to mass on Saturday night at St. Anne's. It looked like it was once a protestant church. It was small, white and plain with clear windows, but acoustics were good, I good really here everyone singing.
Sunday morning we toured a little around Savannah and the headed toward Charlotte. We stopped in Charlotte to see our old roomie. Bob's nephew Johnathan moved there after staying with us for six months. We got to see him and his girlfriend and take a tour of Charlotte and have dinner.
Then we stay the night just north of Charlotte. We happened to find Michael Waltrip's garage for his racing team on the other side of the highway
