Friday - Baltimore

Baltimore - What to do in Baltimore...

We stopped for tea, coffee and Lemonade and then looked around and decided to take a tour cruise in the harbor. From the cruise, we could see Domino Sugar (with one of the largest neon sign in the country-- the dot in the "i" is 6.5 feet tall), Ft. McHenry, a couple of Merchant Marine ships and lots of condos along the waterfront.  We had a very good lunch at J. Paul's with great service from Josh.

They we decided to drive to Annapolis. There we just drove around, the capitol building is under renovation and we got stopped for a draw bridge. The Naval Academy is not as spectacular as the Air Force Academy.  Then we headed over the Bay Bridge (officially named The William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial (Bay) Bridge - but most locals refer to it simply as the "Bay Bridge.")  and up thru Delaware to Philly. This is not the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.  This was 4.3 miles long the one farther south is 20+ miles long.  It was challenging, especially since we were in the contraflow lane on the other bridge. Then we spent the night outside of Philly.
