First stop was the Mission Concepción or The Mission of Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción.
Second stop was Mission San José or Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo. Bob went to a wedding here many years ago.
Then we had lunch at Bobby's Cafe. A converted gas station, a little messy, but good food!
Third mission was Misson Espada or Misión San Francisco de la Espada.
The fourth mission was Mission San Juan. Misión San Juan Capistrano was established in 1716 as Misión San Jose de los Nazonis. They have done some work on this one since Debbie and Bob were here in 2009.
All of the four missions above are active Catholic parishes. Then haven't been in continual use, but they are in use.
The last mission was of course Misión San Antonio de Valero better known as the Alamo! It was originally a Spanish mission, but became the most famous place in the battle for Texas independence from Mexico.

We had dinner at Michelino.. on the Riverwalk. The food was very excellent there, especially the pizza!
