Then we went horseback riding. We trekked up the mountain and back down. We got some wonderful views of Longs Peak, Flattop Mountain and the valley below. On the way down, we had a strong, cool, mountain breeze. No one lost their hat. Maria's horse got off the trail slightly and when the guide got her back on, she had to limbo under a tree branch. Unfortunately, we didn't get pictures of that. Debbie's horse was Skittles, Bob's was Cheyenne, Maria's, Redneck, Sarah's, Ransom, Alex's, Babe, Gabe's was a paint named Tango and Dianne's was Daisy.

After riding, we had lunch at a picnic spot in the Rocky Mountain National Park that Aunt Di has taken Grandma, Uncle Joe, Aunt Beth, Megan and Katelyn to by the stream.
Then we went out to Bear Lake that Bob and Deb tried to get to when we were in the park in January of 2013, but turned back due to the snow. Bob was there with his sister Ellen and family when he was in college.
The Cramers
The Portmans
Before we left the park, we checked out another webcam location that Bob follows -- Continental Divide at Glacier Basin. It was really cool to be right there.
Then after a ride back down the mountain, we had dinner at Beau Jo's in Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Recovery from the Rains of 2013
Driving up and down the Big Thompson River Canyon, we saw many signs of the destruction of major rains that they got in 2013. We also saw some great sign of recovery. It looks like they did some hard work in the last year and a half to rebuild. The saddest to us personally, is the pull-off that we stopped at to take some great pictures in January 2014 is gone. The road is fixed, but now it's just road.Notice the washer and dryer hanging out of the bottom left side of this house and the edge of the bed on the right side.
Here is the a fisherman in the Big Thompson River.
Day of Rest
The next day we just stayed with the Cramers and Wednesday we head for South Dakota.

Looks like fun!!!!
